Test Your Knowledge
The Brain Bowl tournament is a fast-paced quiz style competition where teams of students from local schools compete to answer questions from categories like science, math, or history to win points.
This round robin bracket competition allows all schools the opportunity to compete against each other.
The middle school tournament is hosted across the various participating schools in January and February, while the high school competitions are held at SOU in March and April. Furthermore, the high school varsity finalists will also have the opportunity to compete live on the Southern Oregon PBS channel during the champion round.
To view the past televised championship rounds, visit SOPBS’s channel.
The academic competition partners with over 20 middle and high schools in the southern Oregon region. If interested in joining, students should inquire with their administration or teacher to see if their school participates. We encourage new schools that wish to join the competition to contact our Youth Programs staff.
